Session 1 Topic

Why isn’t Scrum Working? Effective Ways to Fix Common Failures

Can corporate culture can cause your Scrum adoption to fail, and how can you mitigate cultural impacts and succeed? Scrum implementations might fail to achieve success because of anti-patterns that develop within their process. Many of these anti-patterns are symptomatic of the culture and leadership prevalent within the organization. When Scrum and Agile practices conflict with the corporate culture, it is not uncommon for organizations and teams to seek solutions that, in reality, are the opposite, which can lead to dysfunction within the Scrum framework. This presentation will describe how culture and leadership impact Scrum and Agile, and it will provide insight into developing awareness and strategies for overcoming cultural impediments.
