Description

This 2-day course is the third course in our Power BI using Excel series and is for Excel Designers who will be responsible for taking basic PowerPivot data models and turning them into power business intelligence solutions. 

his course takes an in-depth approach to the DAX language, teaching designers how to build models that extend the capabilities of source data for more in-depth, customized business intelligence solutions. Specific topics covered include proper understanding of DAX evaluation, controlling evaluation context, understanding relational functions, error handling within the data model, working with complex time intelligence calculations, creating advanced DAX dashboards and report elements using Slicers. 

Prerequisites

Excel Levels 1, 2 and 3 including PivotTable and Pivot Chart skills plus a basic understanding of database concepts. Power BI for Excel Part 2 Data Model Designer or equivalent skillset is also recommended.
