Time Powered Outlook - Your Time & MS OutlookPDSP_TIMEOUTLOOKTime Powered Outlook - Your Time & MS Outlook
E-mail has been voted as one of the toughest challenges to end user productivity. It is a major cause of stress and often overpowers the benefits of desktop technology by dominating the day at the expense of many other critical tasks. Even seasoned workers with an accomplished sense of time management are challenged to tame the e-mail beast.

Springhouse has created a most unique course aimed directly at assisting end users with both Time Management and the taming of e-mail through the effective management of Microsoft Outlook. The course begins with participation in a time mastery survey which assists the student in understanding their personal responses to time issues. Using the survey results as a guide, the class dives into principals of time management (improving workflow and reducing stress) by matching the unique features of Outlook which support the major principals of Time Management. The result is a fuller understanding of the most appropriate use of Outlook and Time Management principals for each student.
2:51:13 PM0120aspx Product List/AllItems.aspxFalse814d4710-4852-de11-b465-00155d00bf00
Business Analysis Boot CampBA00Business Analysis Boot Camp
An intensive course covering all aspects of the Business Analyst role – from requirements gathering to testing. All major techniques – both Structured and Object-Oriented (OO) – are addressed in this course. Each trainee receives a hard copy of all course material as well as a Job Aids booklet, containing useful templates, examples, guidelines and glossary for use back on the job.

Trainees facilitate requirements-gathering sessions and document the results over the course of a case-study project with an emphasis on the textual aspects of the documentation. Trainees learn state-of-the-art practices for gathering and documenting requirements based on the use case approach. The course covers what the facilitator needs to accomplish in each requirements-gathering session (goals, agenda, who to invite, artifacts, etc.) as the project progresses – starting from business use-case sessions that focus on the business context through to those that focus on user-IT interactions. Trainees also learn advanced techniques (extension, generalized and inclusion use cases) that result in requirements documentation that is easy to revise when business rules change.

The course follows today's most widely accepted method of requirements capture – the popular 'use case' approach. The clear style and organization of use cases makes them well-suited as a source of test cases and for communicating with both business stakeholders and developers. In addition, use cases are a central aspect of iterative development methodologies such as IBM's RUP and Microsoft's MSF.(Note: The course may be delivered with the use of the popular modeling tool, IBM Rational ROSE, when requested by the client.)
4:47:49 PM02477aspx Product List/AllItems.aspxFalse353f8dd1-853c-e611-8be0-00155d0a1406
Mastering the Business Analysis Process over the System Development LifecycleBA10-1Mastering the Business Analysis Process over the System Development Lifecycle
The IIBA®-endorsed course enables the trainee to perform the activities that an advanced BA is responsible for over the systems development life cycle (SDLC) and to be conversant with all of the methodologies, concepts and terminology expected of the BA, as described in the BABOK 2. The course provides an in-depth coverage of all of the BABOK 2 Knowledge Areas and provides extensive preparation for the CBAP® exam, including practice exams to test trainees’ knowledge level both before and after the training. Unlike other CBAP® preparation courses, however, the objective of this course is not merely to pass the CBAP® exam – but to improve the trainees’ performance in the BA role. It is a practical guide for the BA that puts the BABOK 2 into action, clarifying precisely when and how in the project lifecycle to apply each of the six BABOK 2 knowledge areas, as well as BABOK 2 tools and techniques.

This course incorporates current best practices in IT Service Management and software development, such as agile, iterative development, ITIL, Six Sigma, and RUP and provides the salient characteristics of these approaches and their relationship to BA practice.

Trainees work in teams, developing a case study over the course of a project. The instructor introduces each step by reviewing Knowledge Areas and techniques required at the time. Working individually and in groups (as appropriate for the step), trainees perform BA activities and create deliverables, with the instructor acting as mentor. After each step is completed, the instructor takes up common issues that arose during the workshop. In addition to theoretical testing, the option is also provided for practical testing of trainees’ ability to apply the knowledge they have gained, through the development of a case study to be completed after the course. (A comprehensive case study and sample solution are available for this purpose.)
9:44:41 PM01744aspx Product List/AllItems.aspxFalsebaef7276-8ddc-e511-a1ec-00155d0a1406
Business Analysis in an Agile WorldBA123Business Analysis in an Agile World
In this course, you will learn how to perform ‘just in time’, ‘just barely enough’ Business Analysis on an agile project in order to incrementally develop a comprehensive understanding of business goals and requirements. As you and your team work through a case study project, you’ll gain practical experience in how to leverage the BA function and toolkit to help teams overcome some of the most vexing issues that confront agile teams today, including: how to help business owners overcome ‘prioritization phobia’ by guiding them towards an MVP approach to development; how to track dependencies between requirements and development teams; how and when to unbundle epics into manageable User Stories; when to ‘bend’ agile principles; how to apply UML 2.0; how to coordinate development across multiple teams and how to manage supplementary requirements such as non-functional requirements and constraints. You will also learn when and how to create persistent requirements documentation for communication with non-agile teams and for use after the project is over.
9:44:41 PM01682aspx Product List/AllItems.aspxFalsea4abe5d4-8cdc-e511-a1ec-00155d0a1406
