​Participants gather and bring to class examples of recently used cold prospects email, ideally including examples intended for people holding different positions (e.g., Accounting, Customer Care/Service, Human Resources, IT, Operations, Sales, Training & Development).

  1. Review and apply an ideal Sales Email writing process and template/model (such as the “Bandage Email Formula”)
    • Why “one-size-fits-all” doesn’t work. The ideal length for Cold Emails.
    • How to translate purpose, goal, and customer knowledge into subject lines, first and last sentences, and email content.
    • How to let recipients know you understand their business and have sought them out specifically.
    • How to create a collegial, consultative “voice” that immediately builds rapport.
    • Email Etiquette for Sales Email. Quick Tips for Format and Proofreading. Tracking Results.
  2. Identify participants’ common email situations and evaluate current examples. What can we keep? What should we change?
  3. Create 3-5 templates/models for upcoming prospecting situations.
