SharePoint Solutions Specialist

​When client needs and requirements extend beyond out-of-the-box options, Springhouse is able to offer enterprise and web application development services. Therefore, the Springhouse SharePoint Solutions Specialist is a creative yet analytical solution provider. The Springhouse professional participates in, and often leads, requirements gathering, design, business analysis, and quality assurance. Communication is critical to project success and therefore the Springhouse professional is responsible for time management, issue management, quality assurance, and change management and keeping Project Managers current on progress and action items.
This technical position reports to the Springhouse Director of Strategic Planning and Process. Custom solutions are typically focused on SharePoint and the Microsoft application development platform and may encompass either on premise or cloud environments (Office 365 and Azure).

General Tasks

  • Collaborate with business personnel to define requirements of programming efforts
  • Contribute to the creation of specifications, logic flow charts, and process diagrams
  • Lead and/or participate in the development and deployment of solutions
  • Lead and/or participate in quality assurance testing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Report progress and status of assigned tasks to project team and managers
  • Achieves appropriate Microsoft Certifications as agreed upon during the crafting of the individual’s Business Development Plan

  • Microsoft SharePoint working knowledge (2010 and later) including but not limited to
    • SharePoint Designer
    • Workflow Development (Nintex, SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio)
    • Content Search and Content Query Web Parts
    • BCS Services
    • Excel Services
    • SharePoint API and Client Object Model
    • SharePoint App model
  • Windows PowerShell
  • HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript
  • Additional skillsets such as the following considered a
    • Microsoft Project Server, Project Online experience
    • Microsoft Azure experience
    • Mirosoft CRM Dynamics experience
    • Professional standards-based web development using ASP.NET
    • Understanding of XSLT, XML, CAML
    • Microsoft Power View/Power Query
    • Microsoft Power BISQL Server (2008 and later) and SQL Reporting ServicesVisual Studio
    • Knowledge of security standards and techniques
    • Knowledge of browser-specific compatability issues
